The Biz Intensive

Understanding how you communicate, make decisions, and work with other people can be hugely beneficial to your business. Every Biz Intensive member completes a short questionnaire and receives a DISC report to learn more about how they work best given their personal behaviour type.

DISC self-assessments identify the strengths and development areas of an individual. What makes Extended DISC® different from other assessments is that it is able to measure the hard-wired behaviours to exclude the impact of the environment.

After the assessment is completed, members get a 60-minute call with Lara to go over the results.

My name is Lara Wellman and I am a Certified Business Coach who believes that the support of a community can make all the difference for a business owner.

My goal with every group and client I work with is to first, listen. I want to understand where you're coming from and where you're trying to go. Once we get clear on that, we can set out solid goals and work together to figure out how you will get there.

My 15+ years of marketing experience comes in to play with every client, because every business needs to figure out how to reach their audience with the right messaging.

I have been an entrepreneur for a decade and have run a variety of businesses, including an online and bricks and mortar clothing store, a blog for parents in the National Capital Region and a social media consulting company. I know what it's like to run a business, and I can help you with yours.

I strongly believe that to run a business you enjoy, you need to first know what you want your life to look like and embrace what makes you uniquely you. We all need to find the right path for ourselves and the Biz Intensive group and I are ready to help support you in find yours!

How do I choose between group coaching and one-on-one coaching?

I'm a huge fan of group coaching. Why? Because I believe that community is key for business owners and the more people they can surround themselves with, the better.

Why should you opt for group coaching?

* You have access to more than just Lara for feedback and support. * The 5 in-person days are really powerful - you get to spend days away from the day-to-day of your busines, working ON your business, surrounded by people who understand what it means to be a business owner. * You get greater value for your dollar.

Why should you opt for one-on-one coaching instead?

* If you're not easily available weekdays. * If you're not geographically close enough to Ottawa to make the in-person days. * If you're wanting to take action, and see change really quickly in your business, and you have the time available to do a lot of work on your business.

What if I can't make every call?

All the group calls are recorded so you can listen to them afterward if you missed out. Even if you're unable to attend live you can submit questions ahead of time to be covered during the call.

What if there's someone in the group who does what I do?

In the Biz Intensive we try to avoid overlap when it comes to businesses included. If you happen to sign up and someone who is already registered does something very similar, you will be issued a refund. That means that if you sign up first and someone similar signs up after you, they won't be able to join the group this year.

Will there be set topics?

My experience with group coaching is that we can never predict what any group will truly need. As a result, members of the Biz Intensive have access to all online workshops run through the Biz Studio included in the price of the group. This is where business training will take place, and the group will be more organic, based on the needs of the group at any given time.
